More than a decade ago, Hedia Anvar and Paul Dimitropoulos met for the first time when they could still get away with playing young street urchins. Paul dreamed up a fountain sketch and Hedia promised they would make a film together, but life got in the way and time did its dirty work. Still, in the end they came through with their film, though a little (lot) older, and forced to modify the original premise just a tad to justify why a pair of grown, seemingly well-fed man and woman would splash around for coins in the fountain of a gated-like community. Hedia wrote and directed the script based on Paul's original idea, and they both acted in it. In a way, Fountaineers has been ten years in the making.

SUMMARY:  Two mismatched souls cross paths and fight over coins in a fountain.

SYNOPSIS: “Wishes don’t cost what they used to,” Dimo says to Niki, an aging Holly Golightly who hasn't a clue what it means to be homeless when she walks out of her live-in relationship with no money and no recourse. Meanwhile, Dimo, pathologically averse to human proximity,  just wants to collect fountain coins in peace, so Niki realizes joining forces with him isn’t going to be easy.
